I am infuriated that the Liberals would choose their self-interested political posturing over doing what's best for Canada. Doesn't Michael Ignatieff get that people are struggling and need help now?

Ignatieff has missed the boat again. For months, he sat on his hands when Canada needed him to show leadership against Stephen Harper. Now that we need him to show leadership by working with his opponents, he's too busy grandstanding about an election no one wants.

I am fed up with Ignatieff's complete lack of good sense. How he can prefer to spend $300 million for an election instead of supporting $1 billion for the unemployed is beyond me. He's made a real mess of a once proud party.

What a relief to see some common sense coming out of Ottawa. Jack Layton's decision to avoid yet another expensive election proves that at least some of our MPs are not acting out of self-interest.

New Democrats have shown real political leadership and maturity. They've proven that they are more committed to helping the unemployed than they are to partisan political games.
