I get frustrated when I hear wannabe politicians like Dale Henderson say that the City should be run "like a business".

Does that mean profits take precedence over everything else? What does this mean for the support of all the things that make London worth living in--the libraries, the splash pads, or the soccer fields? Former Farmers Union head seeks NDP nomination in Huron-Bruce

Paisley ON-Grant Robertson, the former Ontario head of the National Farmers Union, has declared his intention to seek the federal NDP nomination in Huron-Bruce.

Labour Day Picnic!

As a long time delegate to the London & District Labour Council, MP Irene Mathyssen is very proud of this labour event and pleased to extend an invitation to all constituents to join her at this free community event. In these very difficult times for unions and workers, it is so important to gather in solidarity and to celebrate the considerable accomplishments of labour with one another, family, friends and all members of the community. And of course to just enjoy the great weather and have some fun!

Entertainment, face painting and games are provided for kids and there will be hotdogs, drinks and ice cream treats for all.
